Precautions and contra-indications
- Avoid in patients with bleeding disorders.
- Caution in patients taking anticoagulant (eg Warfarin) and antiplatelet medications as Garlic may increase the risk of bleeding
- Suspend the use of Garlic supplements 1-2 weeks prior to major surgery, as Garlic may increase the risk of bleeding
